Vitrina de Autoras was a project aimed at highlighting the work of female creators within the book industry. It unfolded across 17 bookstores throughout Spain, where 17 translators and 17 illustrators came together.
Each pair was connected by a chosen sentence from the translator's book, which the illustrator brought to life through window art in a female-owned bookshop.
Ana Casanova, the owner of Librería Central, hosted the project in Aragón, where I got to illustrate a quote from Sangu Mandanna’s “The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches”, translated to spanish by Noemi Risco Mateo.
